The Fashion Show
Phyllis Madonna, the Madonna Inn, and Executive Director Kirsten Rambo of the Women’s Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo County (WSP) announce the “Passing of the Torch” for the 2018 charity event, newly named The Women’s Shelter Program Musical Revue & Fashion Show. While Mrs. Madonna will not perform in the show any longer, many aspects of the show will feel very familiar to long-time attendees. The event will occur, as always, on the first weekend in March at the Alex Madonna Expo Center. The dates for 2018 are March 2nd and 3rd.
Phyllis Madonna noted, “I can’t believe it has been 30 years of producing this show for the Women’s Shelter! And may I hug and say ‘thank you’ to each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. I am thrilled to pass on my beloved musical revue and fashion show into the capable and loving hands of the Women’s Shelter Program. May your generous support continue for many years to come.”
WSP Board Member, Toni Detz, will chair the 2018 event. Cheri Humphrey, the long-time musical revue and fashion show producer from the Madonna Inn Boutique, will once again lead the show production with her fabulous team of volunteers. Humphrey comments, “I am very excited about this transition and so happy that the Women’s Shelter Program will continue to carry on for 2018 what Phyllis Madonna began 30 years ago. And, yes, Mrs. Madonna will have her table at the end of the runway this year, cheering on the cast as they perform!”
